On the afternoon of February 21, "Qilu" Eurasia Railway Express, operated by Shandong Hi-Speed Group, launched its 50th train since the Spring Festival and its 120th this year. The train, carrying a total of 42 containers of mechanical equipment, daily necessities, feed additives and other goods, was dispatched from Jinan and is expected to arrive in Moscow in 12 days.

As a "barometer" of our province's foreign trade import and export, "Qilu" Eurasia Railway Express has attracted much social attention. In the face of the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, SDHS has worked hard on epidemic prevention and control as well as production and operation. In January, SDHS launched 81 trains, an increase of 30.6% over the same period last year, with import and export value of about RMB 426 million, realizing a good start in the first month.

Affected by the epidemic situation, only eastbound "Qilu" Eurasia Railway Express was handled from February 1 to 5, and the originally planned 6 westbound trains were delayed. SDHS strictly implements the decisions and arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government on resuming work and production. With the strong support of relevant departments, and through multi-parties coordination, the westbound "Qilu" has been fully resumed since February 6.  

According to statistics, up to now, the five major arrival and departure stations (including Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Weifang and Linyi) of "Qilu" Eurasia Railway Express in the province have resumed normal operation. About 20 trains are dispatched weekly, which is basically the same as that before the outbreak. It shows that foreign trade import and export enterprises in our province has achieved positive results in resuming work and production, and the production capacity is rapidly recovering.

The stable operation of "Qilu" Eurasia Railway Express during the epidemic period has provided a smooth and efficient logistics channel reduced the impact on import and export enterprises, thus providing a strong support for the steady growth of foreign trade in Shandong province and demonstrating to the international community our firm confidence in winning the fight of epidemic prevention and control.
